Riding in a Hrududu

After all of his cleverness and bravery, Hazel is saved by a human and driven back to Watership Down in a hrududu, two of the things rabbits fear most. What do you think of this?

I think this is another example of the fact that the rabbits needed other species to help them or they would have failed.

I agree with Ben. They do need to make peace with different species of animals or humans to keep living.

I think Hazel could have made it back to Watership Down, though it would probably take him a while to get back to Watership Down. Hazel has a lot of spirit and I don't think Hazel would let a cat kill him after he worked so hard to form the new warren at Watership Down. I'm glad that a human saved Hazel because I really like that character. He was a really good leader and I don't think he deserved to die at the end of the story, or at least until Frith or the Black Rabbit calls to him.
